High Dynamic Range Lying was created, and is maintained solely, by Nayan Ramachandran, an english teacher and freelance journalist living in the bustling town of Takarazuka Hyogo-ken, between Osaka and Kobe, in the Kansai Region of Japan. Nayan graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD in May 2005, with a Bachelor of Arts in English, concentrating in Writing. That’s probably why some of his writing is so damn pretentious sometimes.

Nayan originally created HDRL as a counter-balance to redundant news-based journalism in favor of a gaming oriented editorial forum on the japanese and global technological zeitgeist. Game reviews and useless artbook photos seem to sneak onto the site once in a while, though.

Nayan spends much of his time outside of HDRL teaching classes, playing games, reading manga, and wasting all his hard earned money on alcohol and food. When he’s not doing any of those things, he can usually be found asleep face down in a bowl of late-night ramen.

Feel free to drop Nayan a line if you’d like at thetrin@gmail.com.
